Disposable

Here are some photo's I've taken recently. When I got them developed I was surprised to see alot of them, I'd totally forgotten I'd taken them. That what I love about analogue photography - the surprise at the end.
I have just scanned them in and I will admit, I edited them slightly (so slight). I really love this batch though. They were taken all over the place - Byron at Bluesfest, Bondi during summer, Flinders, Mornington and a little picnic.

Minimal Travels

I want to travel to so many places. So far, not so good. This is all I have to show to date but let me ensure you, there WILL be more... one day.

VECTOR

In 2D design we are just learning basic Illustrator elements.
Today, we were creating Vector Self-Portraits. They just consist of basic shapes and using the "pen" tool to create the curves required for the image and filled with most realistic colours.
It's not that special but thought i should blog more of the stuff i do at school.

the junkyard.

Ligit-shit. Nothing below has a purpose. They are just "snaps" I have taken over time and feel the need to feed the net with.

bitta' loveeee

If only people were still this mad.. and Woodstock still ran..and it were the 70's. I'd be in NYC pronto.
A little snipit of inspiration - WOODSTOCK 1969.. 400,000+ people attended. Beats Speldour anyday.

Smiggle Windows

Visual Merchandising Window Displays

I study Visual Merchandising at RMIT and am only a first year student..early days... and I will admit, I know these mini displays are amature... but still, lets watch the progress. You don't have the most space to work with, there are about 30 windows in the classroom to play with, all fitted with downlights and spotlights.

The following are embracing the "Elements of VM design".. the brand i chose was Smiggle Stationary.

on the side..

In order to not loose my computer skills, I attempt to play around with inDesign, Illustrator and photoshop when I can. Below are some things I've done lately.. obviously not great but I'm trying to inspire myself rather than crave someone else's creativity.

Lately, I've found myself loving typographic elements adapted to awesome photos. It defeats the saying "a picture speaks a thousand words" and rather than allow your imagination to run wild, you quite directly get told how and what to think...

A photo of my sister, captured by India Egan, edited on photoshop by me.
Merely a photograph but I think it's quite beautiful.

Flowers on Julia's farm, Karina behind the lense, edited.. all for fun.

LOVE...
